1.      August 7, 1998 : A car bomb attack outside the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, killing 213 people and injures around 5,000 . Most victims are pedestrians and employees of neighboring buildings . An almost simultaneous explosion of a tanker truck loaded with explosives in front of the U.S. embassy in Dar es Salaam , Tanzania , kills 11 and injures 70 , all pedestrians .
